Freda is transforming period care in the UAE by offering more than just premium, essential products—we are sparking vital conversations and driving change in how periods are perceived and managed. From our very inception, Freda has remained devoted to sustainability, social responsibility, combating period poverty, and making period care accessible for women and girls of all backgrounds.
Rooted in founder Affi’s mission to include period care in refugee hygiene kits, Freda’s purpose aligns closely with the UAE’s commitment to wellbeing, dignity, and inclusivity. Our core values of sustainability, dignity, and equity guide our efforts to break taboos and ensure the menstrual needs of women in the UAE wherever they find themselves, are no longer overlooked.
Freda is aiming to partner with local charities, businesses, schools, universities, hotels, and government bodies to provide high-quality, sustainable period care—ensuring every woman, whether in a workplace, hospitality setting, mall, or educational institution, has access to safe and reliable products. We believe period care should be a basic, accessible right integrated into everyday environments, delivered without compromise to environmental and social values.
Our products are free from toxins and pollutants—our tampons are made with 100% organic cotton, and our pads contain 70% natural materials. We use biodegradable packaging and manufacture exclusively in a carbon-neutral facility in Sweden, upholding the UAE’s vision for sustainability and environmental consciousness.
Freda was founded in the UK and is proud to launch our services in the UAE.
